After graduating from high school, Coach Reid received a scholarship to play basketball for Salem State College 2001-2005.  Coach Reid was a four-year performer for the Vikings, serving as a co-captain during his final year in 2004-05.  Coach Reid was a key contributor in helping SSC capture four Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) championships and appear in four NCAA Division 3 tournaments.  In addition Coach Reid was a 1000 pt scorer and was selected as a first team All-MASCAC performer for the 2004-05 season.  Upon graduating with a degree in sports management Coach Reid served as a volunteer assistant coach under head coach Sean Doherty during the 2005-2006 season.  2006-2007 season Coach Reid was appointed as an administrative assistant to the men's basketball program at The College of Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
